For thousands of years, across every culture and continent, mealtimes have brought people together. We think they’re the most important part of every resident’s day.
We want to make sure our residents are exploring new tastes, while still enjoying those familiar dishes that they love. We have a host of dining areas to socialise in, as well as kitchenettes for residents to prepare their own snacks. Food really is at the heart of Goldwell Manor.
Nutrition plays a very important role in the meals we plan and serve. According to the British Nutrition Foundation 16% of the population are over 65, with the number of people aged over 85 constantly increasing. These extra years added to our lifespan are not necessarily ‘healthy’, potentially hindering the quality of life for older people, Goldwell Manor aims to dispel this.
Our talented head chef and team of talented cooks are passionate about giving your loved ones the nutrition they need for the best possible health. Every meal we serve is freshly prepared on the day, right here in our professional kitchen. We aim to make sure that every taste can be catered for and every dietary requirement is met.
We pride ourselves in using ingredients that are sourced locally, and make sure that seasonal fruit and veg are a feature of every mealtime.
Residents play an important role in helping us craft our menus, we hold regular food discussions so they can give our catering team suggestions and ideas – so rest assured when your loved one joins us, they can still enjoy their favourite meals.
